1. About the service

Wildlane provides fishing intelligence, environmental forecasts, trip-planning tools, and subscription-based features designed to help users make more informed decisions. The service may include tide windows, weather summaries, marine conditions, and custom forecast scoring based on third-party data and Wildlane's own analysis. By using Wildlane you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility and lawful use

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and meet any age and eligibility requirements in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to fish in the location you choose, including any permit, license, access permission, conservation requirements, and local rules that apply. You must not use Wildlane for unlawful, dangerous, or abusive conduct.

3. Forecasting and data disclaimer

Wildlane uses data from third-party providers such as NIWA and Open-Meteo, along with Wildlane's own models and user inputs, to generate forecast information. Forecasts are informational estimates and are not guarantees of fish activity, catch success, weather safety, tide safety, or local conditions. Conditions can change rapidly, data may be delayed or incomplete, and location-specific outcomes may differ from the forecast.

Wildlane does not promise that any forecast, tide, weather, swell, or bite score will be accurate, complete, or available at all times.

4. Pro subscriptions and billing

Wildlane may offer paid Pro features at a price displayed before purchase. Subscription terms, trial conditions, renewal dates, and included features will be disclosed during checkout. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, subscriptions renew automatically and the payment method on file is charged. Cancellation terms depend on the pricing plan and account settings available in the billing portal. Refunds are handled according to local law and the subscription terms shown at the point of purchase.

5. User responsibilities

You are responsible for your own safety, skill level, local knowledge, gear, planning, and decisions. You should check official warnings, local regulations, current conditions, and any relevant safety guidance before fishing or travelling. Wildlane is not a safety service, emergency service, navigational system, or substitute for professional advice.

6. Prohibited behaviour

• Using Wildlane for unlawful, fraudulent, dangerous, or abusive purposes
• Harassing other users, posting harmful content, or interfering with the operation of the service
• Attempting to scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass access controls
• Using Wildlane in a way that creates legal, safety, or security risk for others
• Misusing account access, forecast data, or subscription features
• Fishing or operating in a manner that violates laws, access rules, permits, or local regulations

7. Safety and risk

Fishing, boating, shore access, and outdoor activities involve inherent risk, including injury, exposure, tide change, surf, weather, equipment issues, and changing conditions. Wildlane does not supervise activities, verify user skill, or take responsibility for the safety of any individual or group. By using the service, you agree to make your own risk assessments and to act responsibly at all times.

8. Intellectual property

Wildlane and its branding, software, models, designs, product content, forecasts, and related outputs are protected by applicable law. Unless otherwise stated, Wildlane owns or licenses the intellectual property used in the service. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Wildlane for personal, lawful purposes. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the service, but you grant Wildlane the right to host, process, and display that content as required to provide the service.

9. Account access, suspension, and termination

Wildlane may suspend or terminate your account or access to the service if you violate these Terms, breach security or legal obligations, misuse the product, or fail to pay for a subscription. You may stop using the service at any time if you no longer agree with these Terms. Certain provisions, including any limitation of liability, intellectual property protections, and dispute provisions, continue after termination.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wildlane is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including losses arising from injury, weather, tides, surf, adverse conditions, fishing outcomes, route decisions, lost time, equipment damage, or reliance on forecasts, scoring, or recommendations. We do not accept liability for third-party data errors, forecast misses, or unsupported outdoor decisions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, unless a different requirement applies under local law. Wildlane may update these Terms as needed to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or service improvements. Continued use of Wildlane after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
